CODE OF CONDUCT

We are a community.

I. Introduction

The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all attendees, staff, volunteers, and other participants at our events. We value the participation of each member and want all attendees to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience.

II. Expected Behavior

All event participants are expected to:

  1. Treat everyone with respect and consideration.
  2. Communicate openly and thoughtfully, respecting the boundaries and experiences of others.
  3. Respect the rules and policies of the event venue.
  4. Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior.

III. Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behaviors include:

  1. Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
  2. Verbal or written comments that harm an individual or group based on personal attributes, such as gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability, etc.
  3. Inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images.
  4. Real or implied threat of professional or financial damage or harm.
  5. Disruption of presentations during sessions, in the exhibit hall, or at other events organized throughout the conference.
  6. Violation of the rules and regulations of the venue.

IV. Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior

  1. Anyone requested to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.
  2. If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, the event organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including expulsion from the conference without warning or refund.
  3. The event organizers may report the incident to the relevant authorities if necessary.

V. Reporting Unacceptable Behavior

If someone makes you or anyone else feel unsafe or unwelcome, please report it as soon as possible to event staff. Event staff can be identified by their name badges/other identifying items. You can make a report either personally or anonymously.

VI. Addressing Grievances

If you feel you have been falsely or unfairly accused of violating this Code of Conduct, you should notify the event organizer with a concise description of your grievance.

Note: This Code of Conduct may be revised at any time by the event organizers and the organizers reserve the right to exclude any participant who does not comply with the Code.
