CEO Tom presents their cutting-edge flagship product, the AI Agent designed to enhance AI. This autonomous agent assists developers in customizing language models using the foundation model layers and optimizing its architectures, including model configs and in-context learning like prompts and RAG. It offers superior values in AI engineering compared to traditional fine-tuning or prompt engineering driven solely by humans.
In this session, Tom will delve into the LM-native technology behind the product and explore transformative use cases that could revolutionize AI development practices. He will also discuss the current challenges in productionizing LLMs/VLMs using manual trial and error, explaining why allowing LLMs to enhance other models is a more robust solution, and why in-context learning is lightweight enough to make autonomous iteration possible.

Tom Ohtsuka is the Co-founder, CEO, and CTO at Teammately, a pioneering developer platform startup based in Singapore. Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Tom has an extensive background in data science and machine learning.
Prior to founding Teammately, he held significant roles in data at Alibaba/Ant Financial, where he led Data Science and ML initiatives for Alipay Japan and was part of the global founding team for Uni Marketing, a big-data-based marketing business under New Retail that provides precise and personalized marketing solutions for brands. Additionally, Tom served as a founding member and strategy manager at DiDi Food, a food delivery platform.
Under Tom's leadership, Teammately has secured funding from prominent CVCs in Japan, including CyberAgent, just a few months after the project's launch, further validating its innovative approach to AI development.
Tom is an accomplished debater, having advanced to the final rounds at the World Universities Debating Championship in the ESL category. His ideas in political philosophy and moral judgment contribute to his vision for safe AI development for humanity.
