Tris Warkentin leads Product Management efforts for Google DeepMind’s next-generation AI research, working to build the world’s most useful open models (Gemma) and achieve research breakthroughs on the path to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).
Previously, Tris led the Product Management team for Google Brain, the birthplace of many disruptive AI research innovations, such as the Transformer. In Brain, he led critical launches in many areas, including Bard, PaLM, LaMDA, Imagen, Parti, Phenaki, Imagen-Video, Text-to-3D, Reinforcement Learning, Optimization, and ML Infrastructure.
He has also previously led teams in the TensorFlow ecosystem and Google Ads automation.
