In 2025, AI coding agents hit a watershed moment in quality and usability. In this talk, we’ll see how today’s AI agents are now powerful enough to write complex code across a variety of settings — and how Together AI is using AI agents to build the platform to serve the next generation of AI agents.
Attendees will walk away with: An understanding of how Together AI’s researchers use AI coding agents to build full-stack production workloads Strategies on how to organize and structure agent workflows Insights on what AI agents mean for the future of software.
Dan Fu is VP of Kernels at Together AI and an incoming Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at UCSD. His research develops efficient algorithms for machine learning, with a focus on solutions that are both theoretically efficient and practically fast on modern hardware. His work has been recognized with multiple awards at major ML conferences, including Best Student Paper Runner-Up (UAI) and multiple oral and spotlight presentations (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR), as well as multiple graduate fellowships (Department of Defense NDSEG, Brown Institute). His research has also been deployed in production at major technology companies (FlashAttention).
Dan conducted his PhD training at Stanford and his undergraduate and master’s studies at Harvard, all in computer science.
